1.About this notice
This notice explains how Fairtrust Advisors LLP (“the firm”, “we”) collects and uses the personal data you share with us through this website, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The firm is the Data Fiduciary for that data.
2.The data we collect
When you send an enquiry through the form on the Contact page, which prepares an email for you to send, we collect your name, email address, the area of your enquiry and your message, together with your organisation and telephone number if you choose to provide them. When you write to us by email, we receive the details you choose to share.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising tools. Its fonts are served from this website itself.
3.Why we use it
We use your personal data only to respond to your enquiry, to establish whether we are in a position to act on your matter, including by checking for conflicts of interest, and to keep a record of enquiries received. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4.Your consent
We process your personal data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to contact [at] fairtrustadvisors.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it, and once it is received we will stop processing your data and erase it, unless the law requires us to retain it.
5.Storage and sharing
Enquiries sent through the form reach us by email, through your own email application, and are held in the firm’s email system, accessible only to authorised members of the firm. Our email service provider’s servers may be located outside India. We do not share your personal data with anyone else, except where the law requires us to do so.
6.Retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this notice, and then erase it, unless the law requires us to retain it for longer. Where an engagement follows, records are kept in accordance with the obligations that apply to that engagement.
7.Security
We take reasonable security safeguards to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, use, disclosure or loss.
8.Your rights
Subject to the law, you may ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used, and ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity. To make a request, write to contact [at] fairtrustadvisors.com.
9.Grievances
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, please write to our Grievance Officer, Neha Jain, at contact [at] fairtrustadvisors.com. We will respond within the period prescribed by law. If your concern is not resolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
